80% of Georgians are in favour of closer ties with Europe, according to opinion polls. However, the current government looks more towards Moscow, wanting to pass a bill that would designate some media outlets and NGOs as “foreign agents". But it is facing massive opposition, with hundreds of thousands of demonstrators on the streets.
