Is Europe failing to protect its LGBTQ+ community?

On the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, we look at the state of LGBTQ+ rights in Europe. Overall, Europe has strong laws protecting the rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans and intersex people. But hate crimes against the queer community are becoming more common, like in Slovakia, where many same-sex couples are scared to hold hands in the street.
