The students of The Stars of the Desert programme are to become the new Bedouin elite. The alumni of this course go on to have amazing careers, thanks to the help of Jewish teachers who until then were only used to meeting Bedouins on the fringes of society. But the programme has also suffered a backlash from other Bedouins, who suspect Israel of only wanting to use this project to extend its influence.
