Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, Germany has welcomed almost 2,500 politically persecuted Russians who opposed the conflict. Now, the German government is halting humanitarian admissions under Section 22.2 of the Residence Act. This move affects individuals such as former Russian political prisoner Alexei Moskaljow and his 15-year-old daughter, Maria.
