Camels have been part of daily life in the Middle East and North Africa for thousands of years. To honour these beautiful animals, the United Nations has declared 2024 the "International Year of the Camelid". In Europe, these animals are becoming more popular. In France, camels are trained for therapeutic or sporting purposes... or to perform at weddings.
