On 4 January 2021, a London court denied the extradition of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange to the United States - where he faces up to 175 years in prison, accused of publishing hundreds of thousands of confidential documents. But the judicial battle continues: the US government has appealed, while Assange remains in Belmarsh maximum security prison.
Continuing from ARTE’s five-year investigation into the Assange affair, this report delves once again into the complicated case.
