Belarus: Living Under Dictatorship33 min
Available until 20/01/2029
On 26 January, Alexander Lukashenko was elected President of Belarus for the seventh time in a sham election. The ruler has been in office since 1994, and his regime regularly uses violence to intimidate the population and keep a grip on power. According to estimates, up to half a million people of working age have left the country since the mass protests in summer 2020.
