Board sports like skateboarding, snowboarding and surfing in Afghanistan are not just practiced for fun – they are acts of defiance. The Taliban harshly repress these activities, especially when they are carried out in mixed-gender groups. Tracks met with Afghan athletes who continue to resist all while inspiring their compatriots and showcasing a different imagine of their home country.
