Health reforms in Denmark

400 kilometres west of Copenhagen, Aarhus University Hospital shows how Denmark's healthcare system is ahead of its European neighbours. This ultra modern site spans 500,000 m2 and is the result of a merger of several hospitals in the region. Following the health system reform in 2007, Denmark has strted building 16 new "super" hospitals where the latest technology can be found, saving money and improving the quality of healthcare.
