In two parts this documentary tells the painful story of the Spanish Civil War with descendants of Republicans and Francoists. July 1936. A military coup triggers a bloody civil war in Spain. After three years of fighting and 400,000 deaths, the war finally ends in the spring of 1939 with General Franco’s forces victorious. Heavy repression follows with the new dictatorship interning thousands of people in concentration camps.
