Turkey is home to around 4 million stray dogs which are often fed and watered by canine-loving citizens. But these strays can be dangerous as attacks on humans, mostly children, demonstrate. The Erdogan government is planning in a new law to control the numbers of street dogs but this move is controversial as animal rights activists claim it amounts to a cull.
