In 2017, the artist Anne Imhoff staged a performance titled Faust at the German Pavilion for the Venice Biennale. She interacted with the architecture of the building, creating a menacing atmosphere through the presence of guard dogs, glass floors, and the unsettling presence of the performers. In her work, the artist criticises structures of power and surveillance.
