In the spring of 1982, Ágnes Dénes, a conceptual artist and pioneer of Land Art, grows a wheat field in New York City on an 8,000-square-meter plot of land. The grain ripening in the shadow of the still-standing World Trade Center towers becomes an emblem for the paradoxical effects of globalisation.
