According to Extinction Rebellion, the textile industry is responsible for 20% of the world's wastewater, 10% of carbon emissions from transport and 22.5% of pesticides, applied mainly to cotton fields. Will the elite world of fashion one day disappear, buried by the climate crisis and the covid pandemic? Or will the industry take the opportunity to reinvent itself?
A documentary on the accusations raining down on the fashion world: Overproduction, environmentally harmful practices, racism and a lack of diversity.
