This country in Eastern Europe has received arounf 2.5 billion dollars in the last 30 years. This money allowed them to help the Moldovan authorities and organisations to implement projects that aim to support democratic development. The brutal stop to the USAID projects has had serious repercussions in Moldova. Organisations and the government are looking for alternatives to get funds in Europe, whilst salaries have dropped and people have lost their job.
