In May 2020 armed men stormed a maternity clinic in Kabul, killing indiscriminately. Midwives, pregnant women and new-borns were killed and injured. The tragedy shocked the nation. Whilst the Afghan government negotiates with the Taliban, babies seem to have become targets in a never-ending war.
