Suzanne Valadon: An Uncompromising Artist
52 min
Available until 29/11/2025
Suzanne Valadon (1865-1938) was one of the few women artists of history who was successful in her lifetime. She had to overcome the conventions of French society of her time and seize the opportunity to become an artist without going to art school. She gained international recognition for her work, before falling into oblivion after her death. This documentary aims to rehabilitate her reputation as a unique and important artist of the early twentieth century.
