The Fergana Valley, in eastern Uzbekistan, is famous for its fruits and vegetables. Here, Bahriddin Yunusov tends his small garden and, in the fall, harvests quinces, pomegranates, persimmons, and pumpkins. Recently, his family has grown, and to celebrate, they prepare a grand banquet featuring national dishes: plov, stuffed manti, and a hearty shurpa soup.
