Abortion reform in Germany

Whilst in many countries, abortion is legal, in Germany it is not. This is in accordance with a law that is 150 years old. In fact, before 12 weeks of pregnancy, pregnant people are not prosecuted, but they have to go for religious counselling. Around 20 organisations have just submitted a proposal to the government, calling for abortion to be decriminalised.
