Bigger than the Forbidden City in Beijing, the imperial city in Fengyang was the first Ming Dynasty capital and was a model for later cities. After around 600 years underground, the ruined city is now being excavated by a huge team of archaeologists, researchers and manual labourers, trying to uncover its secrets.
