In Moldova, the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) won more than 50% of the vote in the parliamentary elections held on Sunday 28 September, a result that will enable this small country bordering Ukraine, which has been a candidate for EU membership since 2022, to continue on its path towards integration. The opposition coalition has called for demonstrations to contest the results in the event of "fraud".
