Konrad Wolf: East German Cinema

East German director Konrad Wolf would have turned one hundred on 20 October 2025. This collection of his cinematic work marks the occasion. Solo Sunny (1980) and Divided Heaven (1964) deal with themes of life in the GDR and a divided Germany whereas Lissy (1957) and Stars (1959) focus on the rise of Nazism and the Second World War.
