A series designed for Instagram by young directors Pouria Takavar and Yashar Alishenas.

A series that focuses in on the life of young Iranians as they steer their way through ancestral tradition, censorship and modernity in today’s Iran.

When Shadi decided to leave her neighbourhood to meet her father, little did she know that her daring decision would turn into a real adventure. Through this free and sassy road trip, “Happiness” shows a group of young people who escape the capital briefly to accompany Shadi on her risky journey across Iran.

As she encounters a number of characters who are as different as they are surprising, the teenager addresses the question of happiness.
