{"id":919,"date":"2011-05-13T10:17:46","date_gmt":"2011-05-13T09:17:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/olivierpere.wordpress.com\/?p=919"},"modified":"2013-08-02T18:48:57","modified_gmt":"2013-08-02T17:48:57","slug":"cannes-2011-day-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.arte.tv\/sites\/olivierpere\/2011\/05\/13\/cannes-2011-day-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Cannes 2011 Day 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;font-size: 10pt\">Petite journ\u00e9e en mati\u00e8re de films puisque je n\u2019en ai vu que deux (parmi lesquels l\u2019accablant <em>We Need to Talk About Kevin<\/em> en comp\u00e9tition), et que j\u2019ai lamentablement manqu\u00e9 <em>La\u00a0 guerre est d\u00e9clar\u00e9e<\/em>, second long m\u00e9trage de Val\u00e9rie Donzelli, apr\u00e8s <em>La Reine des pommes<\/em> d\u00e9couvert en 2009 dans la section \u00ab\u00a0Cin\u00e9astes du pr\u00e9sent\u00a0\u00bb du Festival del film Locarno et qui connut un joli succ\u00e8s public et critique. Tous les amis que j\u2019ai rencontr\u00e9s ont \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s impressionn\u00e9s par le film de Val\u00e9rie Donzelli, qui faisait l\u2019ouverture de la Semaine de la critique, donc \u00e0 rattraper d\u2019urgence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;font-size: 10pt\">Belle et riche journ\u00e9e en revanche au niveau des rencontres et des retrouvailles, au gr\u00e9 des f\u00eates\u00a0: celle de l\u2019ouverture de la Quinzaine des r\u00e9alisateurs, dans la magnifique villa Rotschild investie par les Inrockuptibles et qui avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 servi de d\u00e9cor au 4O\u00e8me anniversaire de la section parall\u00e8le en 2008. J\u2019y retrouve avec joie et \u00e9motion nombre de visages amis, anciens coll\u00e8gues de la Quinzaine, complices, critiques et cin\u00e9astes.<br \/>\nJ\u2019avais vu \u00e0 Paris le film d\u2019ouverture du Festival de Cannes <em>Minuit \u00e0 Paris<\/em> (photo en t\u00eate de texte) de Woody Allen. Je suis moins enthousiaste qu\u2019au sujet de <em>Vous allez rencontrer un bel et sombre inconnu<\/em>, mais l\u2019id\u00e9e de proposer un voyage dans le temps est tr\u00e8s belle, et le film dessine un paysage mental qui s\u2019amuse des clich\u00e9s touristique et les transcende. Comme d\u2019habitude chez le dernier Woody Allen il ne faut pas se fier aux apparences.<br \/>\nJe voulais voir <em>We Need to Talk About Kevin<\/em> pour ses deux acteurs principaux. L\u2019intense Tilda Swinton (qu\u2019on a pu admirer r\u00e9cemment dans le beau film de Luca Guadagnino <em>Amore<\/em>) et l\u2019excellent John C. Reilly, qui nous avait rendu visite \u00e0 Locarno l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re et auquel nous avions rendu un petit hommage \u00e0 l\u2019occasion de la pr\u00e9sentation de <em>Cyrus<\/em> des fr\u00e8res Duplass sur la Piazza Grande.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;font-size: 10pt\">Figure embl\u00e9matique et attachante du nouveau cin\u00e9ma am\u00e9ricain, John C. Reilly fait sa premi\u00e8re apparition \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cran en 89 dans <em>Casualties of War<\/em> de Brian De Palma. John C. Reilly devient rapidement un second r\u00f4le tr\u00e8s appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 du cin\u00e9ma am\u00e9ricain, travaillant aussi bien dans des \u00ab\u00a0blockbusters\u00a0\u00bb que sous la direction des meilleurs cin\u00e9astes\u00a0: Woody Allen, Terrence Malick, Martin Scorsese, Robert Altman. John C. Reilly conna\u00eet avec Paul Thomas Anderson une collaboration fructueuse, en interpr\u00e9tant des r\u00f4les inoubliables dans les trois premiers films du jeune prodige, <em>Hard Eight<\/em>, <em>Boogie Nights<\/em> et <em>Magnolia<\/em>. John C. Reilly participe \u00e0 plusieurs productions ind\u00e9pendantes \u00e0 succ\u00e8s, parmi lesquelles <em>The Good Girl<\/em>, <em>The Hours<\/em> ou <em>Chicago<\/em>.<br \/>\nParfaitement \u00e0 son aise dans des compositions \u00e0 la fois famili\u00e8res et excentriques, John C. Reilly est bien plus qu\u2019un \u00ab\u00a0character actor\u00a0\u00bb limit\u00e9 aux r\u00f4les de comparses placides, un peu ben\u00eats et malheureux en amour. Reilly joue \u00e0 la perfection de sa bouille d\u2019Auguste aux cheveux fris\u00e9s et de sa voix inimitable pour cr\u00e9er un d\u00e9calage humoristique ou perturbant.<br \/>\nCes derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, il a confirm\u00e9 qu\u2019il avait l\u2019\u00e9toffe des plus grands en devenant un des acteurs comiques les plus dou\u00e9s et populaires de sa g\u00e9n\u00e9ration. Il donne libre cours \u00e0 sa fantaisie \u00e0 la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision et cr\u00e9e l\u2019in\u00e9narrable Dr. Steve Brule dans le \u00ab\u00a0Tim and Eric Awesome Show\u00a0\u00bb.\u00a0 Chanteur et cam\u00e9l\u00e9on, John C. Reilly se d\u00e9cha\u00eene dans les productions Judd Apatow, en solo (<em>Walk Hard<\/em>) ou en bin\u00f4me avec Will Ferrell (<em>Step Brothers<\/em>).
