Jamais vu non plus ses autres films en tant que r\u00e9alisateur. <em>Braveheart<\/em> a pourtant bonne r\u00e9putation dans le genre fresque historique et on peut consid\u00e9rer Mel Gibson comme l\u2019inventeur du \u00ab\u00a0Torture Porn\u00a0\u00bb (<em>La Passion du Christ<\/em>, r\u00e9alis\u00e9 un an avant <em>Hostel<\/em> d\u2019Eli Roth.) Toujours pas press\u00e9 de les voir. Mais son dernier film en date, <em>Apocalypto<\/em> (2007) d\u00e9couvert \u00e0 sa sortie en salles se r\u00e9v\u00e9la une excellente surprise.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 l\u2019\u00e9poque Maya, une tribu pacifique est attaqu\u00e9e par des guerriers \u00e0 la recherche d\u2019esclaves pour des sacrifices humains. Un jeune chasseur est captur\u00e9 et parviendra \u00e0 \u00e9chapper \u00e0 ses tortionnaires afin de rejoindre son \u00e9pouse enceinte et son fils, cach\u00e9s dans une grotte. \u00ab\u00a0<em>La Guerre des \u00e9toiles<\/em> r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par un psychopathe\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0: c\u2019est ainsi qu\u2019avait \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9fini <em>Conan le barbare<\/em>\u00a0par un critique am\u00e9ricain au moment de la sortie du film de John Milius. Cette formule pourrait bien s\u2019appliquer \u00e0 <em>Apocalypto<\/em> et elle rend hommage au talent \u00e9pique et \u00e0 la vision un peu d\u00e9mente du cin\u00e9ma selon Gibson. Ce n\u2019\u00e9tait pas tr\u00e8s laudatif de traiter un cin\u00e9aste de fou mais cela appara\u00eet aujourd\u2019hui comme un compliment \u00e0 l\u2019heure o\u00f9 le cin\u00e9ma hollywoodien est de plus en plus aseptis\u00e9, politiquement correct ou v\u00e9hicule une violence format\u00e9e et anonyme. Ici c\u2019est tout le contraire. <em>Apocalypto<\/em> est une r\u00e9ussite de l\u2019\u00e9trange Mel Gibson. Son sujet ne se pr\u00eate pas aux m\u00eames d\u00e9rives que <em>La Passion du Christ<\/em>, m\u00eame si une certaine id\u00e9ologie droiti\u00e8re est encore palpable dans l\u2019apologie des liens du sang et une exaltation des th\u00e8mes de la filiation et de la d\u00e9cadence. Ces r\u00e9serves \u00e9mises <em>Apocalypto<\/em> est un beau film d\u2019aventures, plein d\u2019id\u00e9es po\u00e9tiques et barbares, m\u00e9lange de spectacle \u00e0 l\u2019ancienne et d\u2019objet tr\u00e8s contemporain o\u00f9 l\u2019utilisation de la haute d\u00e9finition conf\u00e8re aux images un statut de reportage sur une civilisation en train de mourir. Bancal dans son introduction, feuilletonesque dans ses p\u00e9rip\u00e9ties (on pense \u00e0 Tintin), <em>Apocalypto<\/em> devient formidable dans sa seconde moiti\u00e9, une impressionnante chasse \u00e0 l\u2019homme dans la jungle, un morceau de cin\u00e9ma physique et sadique comme on en avait pas vu depuis <em>Rambo<\/em> (le premier et le dernier) et <em>Predator<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On n\u2019a jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ress\u00e9 par Mel Gibson\u00a0: vu aucun de ses films comme acteur depuis Payback et Complots\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":116,"featured_media":16624,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[3],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v20.8 -
