Mekong Hotel<\/p><\/div>\n

Apichatpong Weerasethakul qui sera cet \u00e9t\u00e9 le pr\u00e9sident du jury du concorso internazionale del Festival del film Locarno revient \u00e0 Cannes avec son nouveau film. Tout le film se d\u00e9roule dans un h\u00f4tel sur les bords du fleuve, dans le nord-est de la Tha\u00eflande. Dans ce lieu d\u00e9sert\u00e9 par les clients, une jeune femme et sa m\u00e8re \u2013 patronne de l\u2019h\u00f4tel, suspect\u00e9e d\u2019\u00eatre une cr\u00e9ature vampirique se nourrissant de chair humaine et capable de changer d\u2019apparence \u2013 devisent avec deux jeunes amants. Le film \u00e9tablit un lien tr\u00e8s fort entre les images, d\u2019une calme et limpide banalit\u00e9 seulement perturb\u00e9e par les agissements bizarres et sanglants de la m\u00e8re et les dialogues qui racontent des histoires typiques des l\u00e9gendes locales, un peu \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re de certains films fantastiques qui jouent du d\u00e9calage entre ce qui est dit dans le film et ce qu\u2019on y voit. Un plan montrant le cin\u00e9aste au travail renvoie \u00e9galement \u00e0 une tradition du cin\u00e9ma moderne mettant en sc\u00e8ne un film dans le film, tandis qu\u2019un autre sur un guitariste jouant de son instrument laisse penser que la musique que nous entendons durant une grande partie du film est di\u00e9g\u00e9tique.<\/p>\n

Mekong Hotel<\/em>, belle r\u00eaverie m\u00e9lancolique d\u2019une dur\u00e9e approximative d\u2019une heure et coproduit par la compagnie britannique Illuminations films a \u00e9t\u00e9 command\u00e9 par le programme La Lucarne d’ARTE France. Les derni\u00e8res commandes du charg\u00e9 de programme Luciano Rigolini comprend des documentaires r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par Alexandre Sokourov, Alain Cavalier, Naomi Kawase, Stephen Dwoskin, Ben Rivers, Ben Russell et bien d’autres encore.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
