Cooper"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;font-size: 10pt\">Revoir l\u2019immense <em>The<\/em> <em>Host<\/em> au Festival de Busan (m\u00eame dans une version 3D d\u00e9plorable) nous invite \u00e0 nous souvenir de <em>King Kong<\/em> (1933), premier et plus grand film de monstre de l\u2019histoire du cin\u00e9ma, qui compte parmi nos films pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9s, \u00e0 la fois exp\u00e9rience inoubliable de jeune spectateur et plaisir sans cesse renouvel\u00e9 de cin\u00e9phile.<br \/>\nSi King Kong repose au panth\u00e9on des monstres du patrimoine fantastique, c\u2019est aussi parce que <em>King Kong<\/em>, le film, est un chef-d&rsquo;\u0153uvre absolu, qui a gard\u00e9 intact depuis sa lointaine sortie son pouvoir de sid\u00e9ration, son \u00e9rotisme et sa cruaut\u00e9. <em>King Kong<\/em> marque l\u2019accomplissement artistique de la rencontre entre les cin\u00e9astes Schoedsack et Cooper, sp\u00e9cialistes du documentaire \u00e9pique et animalier, v\u00e9ritables aventuriers qui avaient sillonn\u00e9 ensemble les contr\u00e9es les plus lointaines. De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, Willis O\u2019Brien, pionnier des effets sp\u00e9ciaux, va inventer pour ce film des nouvelles techniques et pousser les trucages \u00e0 un degr\u00e9 in\u00e9galable de perfection et de po\u00e9sie. La contribution du romancier Edgar Wallace, d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 avant le tournage du film, reste beaucoup plus floue et controvers\u00e9e. Le pass\u00e9 des deux cin\u00e9astes leur a sans doute donn\u00e9 l\u2019id\u00e9e pirandelli\u00e8nne du film dans le film, puisque le d\u00e9but de <em>King Kong<\/em> pr\u00e9sente une \u00e9quipe de cin\u00e9ma souhaitant ramener d\u2019une \u00eele myst\u00e9rieuse des prises de vue sensationnelles, et qui embarque avec elle une jeune ch\u00f4meuse en guise d\u2019actrice d\u00e9butante. Apr\u00e8s avoir explor\u00e9 le monde sauvage, Cooper veut avec <em>King Kong<\/em> s\u2019attaquer \u00e0 l\u2019exploration des fantasmes humains\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Si j\u2019ai r\u00eav\u00e9 <em>King Kong<\/em>, c\u2019est pour m\u2019exciter. Pour plaire au public aussi, bien s\u00fbr, mais je voulais surtout me faire plaisir.\u00a0\u00bb On ne peut pas si bien dire. <em>King Kong<\/em> reste la plus belle illustration cin\u00e9matographique du mythe de la bestialit\u00e9. Les images troublantes de la peau laiteuse de la douce et sexy Fay Wray caress\u00e9e par les doigts gigantesques du gorille amoureux sont \u00e0 ranger en bonne place dans la volumineuse encyclop\u00e9die des pathologies sexuelles \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cran. R\u00e9alis\u00e9 au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 30, <em>King Kong<\/em> est un film d\u00e9cha\u00een\u00e9, parce que les foudres de la censure (le fameux et grotesque code Hays) ne s\u2019\u00e9taient pas encore abattues pour toujours sur Hollywood. Les producteurs, sc\u00e9naristes et cin\u00e9astes pouvaient encore assouvir leur f\u00e9rocit\u00e9 et leurs fantasmes sexuels dans leurs films (Stroheim, Walsh et Sternberg ne s\u2019en sont pas priv\u00e9s) ou y d\u00e9verser des flots de violence et de folie (comme le <em>Scarface<\/em> d\u2019Howard Hawks et Ben Hecht). Dans des conditions de cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9 et de libert\u00e9 exceptionnelles, avec un budget colossal pour l\u2019\u00e9poque, les auteurs de <em>King Kong<\/em> ont pu donner libre cours \u00e0 leur imagination d\u00e9lirante et sadique. <em>King Kong<\/em> est po\u00e8me fantastique qui a fascin\u00e9 les spectateurs du monde entier, du public populaire aux surr\u00e9alistes fran\u00e7ais. Jusqu\u2019aux nouvelles g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, qui continuent de pr\u00e9f\u00e9rer l\u2019original aux nouvelles versions et aux contrefa\u00e7ons. Nous avouons une faiblesse coupable pour le remake de John Guillermin produit par Dino De Laurentiis r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en 1976. Les effets sp\u00e9ciaux sont inf\u00e9rieurs \u00e0 ceux de Willis O&rsquo;Brien mais ne manquent pas de charme car ils sont tomb\u00e9s en d\u00e9su\u00e9tude beaucoup plus vite que ceux de la version de 1933. Le film b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d\u2019une tr\u00e8s belle musique de John Barry et d\u2019une mise en sc\u00e8ne spectaculaire.
