Dans <em>Le Genou d\u2019Ahed<\/em>, un cin\u00e9aste seul dans le d\u00e9sert (Avshalom Pollak) se jette \u00e9perdument dans deux combats vou\u00e9s a\u0300 l\u2019\u00e9chec : l\u2019un contre la mort de la libert\u00e9\u0301 dans son pays, l\u2019autre contre la mort de sa m\u00e8re. <em>Le Genou d\u2019Ahed<\/em> est un coup de poing, un cri de rage contre la politique belliciste du gouvernement isra\u00e9lien, qui mus\u00e8le son peuple et la culture dans un vaste programme de soumission et d\u2019ab\u00eatissement. Nadav Lapid signe un film resserr\u00e9 et frontal (unit\u00e9 de lieu et de temps) tout en se permettant des incartades narratives dont il a le secret : on ne saura jamais la v\u00e9ritable nature de ce r\u00e9cit ench\u00e2ss\u00e9, o\u00f9 des soldats attendent la guerre et la mort dans un avant-poste. Le cin\u00e9aste \u00e9voque-t-il un souvenir militaire ou invente-t-il une fable ? Quel r\u00f4le tient-il dans cette histoire ? Lapid aime \u00e0 chaque film d\u00e9construire et questionner les formes cin\u00e9matographiques pour en inventer une nouvelle, toujours plus radicale et audacieuse, usant de la cam\u00e9ra comme d\u2019un stylo, d\u2019un pinceau ou d\u2019un instrument de musique. Il malaxe une substance visuelle et sonore au plus pr\u00e8s des id\u00e9es et des corps, accomplissant un geste cr\u00e9ateur qui m\u00eale intimement l\u2019organique et le politique, le morcellement dialectique et les palpitations d\u2019une cam\u00e9ra f\u00e9brile, au plus pr\u00e8s des personnages. Lapid r\u00e9active un cin\u00e9ma de po\u00e9sie tout en demeurant un formidable conteur qui n\u2019h\u00e9site pas \u00e0 bousculer son auditoire, ni \u00e0 pr\u00e9senter son alter ego cin\u00e9matographique sous un \u00e9clairage peu flatteur. Il ne cherche pas \u00e0 s\u00e9duire, ni \u00e0 faire passer un message, mais \u00e0 interpeler, \u00e0 provoquer des r\u00e9actions salutaires.
