{"id":19181,"date":"2016-08-26T15:00:19","date_gmt":"2016-08-26T14:00:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.arte.tv\/sites\/olivierpere\/?p=19181"},"modified":"2016-09-03T06:17:22","modified_gmt":"2016-09-03T05:17:22","slug":"nocturama-de-bertrand-bonello-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.arte.tv\/sites\/olivierpere\/2016\/08\/26\/nocturama-de-bertrand-bonello-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Nocturama de Bertrand Bonello"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ce film de rupture, pens\u00e9 comme une coupe franche \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de l\u2019\u0153uvre de son auteur \u2013 un d\u00e9sir de modernit\u00e9 tranchante et d\u2019action pure apr\u00e8s des voyages dans le pass\u00e9 et des r\u00eaveries opiac\u00e9es \u2013 se r\u00e9v\u00e8le finalement dans la continuit\u00e9 directe de <em>L\u2019Apollonide<\/em> et de <em>Saint Laurent<\/em>, mais les transcende par une mise en sc\u00e8ne hypnotique et une fusion r\u00e9ussie entre film de genre et cin\u00e9ma de po\u00e9sie. Ecrit en 2011, le projet a d\u2019abord \u00e9t\u00e9 imagin\u00e9 comme un thriller tendu, \u00e9vacuant les dialogues au profit d\u2019une chor\u00e9graphie silencieuse de corps juv\u00e9niles dans Paris, puis retranch\u00e9s dans un grand magasin. Si la structure est rest\u00e9e \u2013 un film coup\u00e9 en deux, o\u00f9 les cons\u00e9quences d\u2019attentats symboliques et n\u00e9anmoins meurtriers commis dans la capitale par un groupe d\u2019activistes succ\u00e8dent au d\u00e9roulement millim\u00e9tr\u00e9 des op\u00e9rations \u2013 <em>Nocturama<\/em> (ex <em>Paris est une f\u00eate<\/em>) a d\u00e9laiss\u00e9 ce d\u00e9sir d\u2019\u00e9pure pour s\u2019enivrer de sa propre virtuosit\u00e9, et d\u00e9cliner des arabesques mani\u00e9ristes spatio-temporelles dans la seconde partie, o\u00f9 Bonello se montre particuli\u00e8rement inspir\u00e9 en filmant le groupe d\u00e9chir\u00e9 par ses contradictions, ses peurs et ses d\u00e9sirs, dans un environnement de consum\u00e9risme et de luxe qui va les absorber puis les d\u00e9vorer, pi\u00e8ge labyrinthique o\u00f9 chaque objet, chaque \u00e9l\u00e9ment de d\u00e9cor miroite en un inqui\u00e9tant reflet. Ce qui sid\u00e8re le plus dans <em>Nocturama <\/em>c\u2019est la fa\u00e7on dont le cin\u00e9aste r\u00e9invente la mise en sc\u00e8ne de la violence au cin\u00e9ma. L\u2019assaut final est caract\u00e9ristique de cette forme in\u00e9dite, qui diffuse, ralentit, spectralise l\u2019action, lui refuse toute jouissance spectaculaire, la plonge dans des nimbes cauchemardesques. Les multiples greffes musicales ou visuelles se s\u00e9dimentent en strates successives et composent un espace anxiog\u00e8ne fait de projections mentales, de d\u00e9placements somnambules et de visions oniriques. Bonello organise la rencontre entre Bresson et De Palma, Pasolini et Carpenter, avec une supr\u00eame \u00e9l\u00e9gance qui \u00e9vite le collage de citations. Chose rare dans le cin\u00e9ma fran\u00e7ais le fantasme d\u2019un certain cin\u00e9ma de genre des ann\u00e9es 70 et 80, qui constitua une large part de l\u2019imaginaire cin\u00e9phile de Bonello trouve une mat\u00e9rialisation pertinente, une restitution \u00e0 la fois somptueuse et intelligente \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur d\u2019un film qui n\u2019entend pas rendre compte d\u2019une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 ni d\u2019une actualit\u00e9 \u2013 fut-elle br\u00fblante, insupportable et proche \u2013 mais propose de capter un sentiment du monde et de l\u2019Histoire en marche au travers d\u2019une \u00e9criture cin\u00e9matographique qui emprunte autant \u00e0 la po\u00e9sie, la musique qu\u2019aux images pulsions du cin\u00e9ma d\u2019horreur ou fantastique. Bonello a souvent \u00e9voqu\u00e9 parmi ses sources r\u00e9f\u00e9rentielles <em>Assaut<\/em> de John Carpenter (huis-clos urbain et abstrait), <em>Zombie <\/em>de George A. Romero (claustration et d\u00e9r\u00e8glement dans un centre commercial assi\u00e9g\u00e9) ou<em> Elephant<\/em> de Alan Clarke (d\u00e9ambulation muette et meurtri\u00e8re). C\u2019est finalement le souvenir de Dario Argento et sa sophistication triviale, son interpr\u00e9tation instinctive des tensions politiques d\u2019une \u00e9poque qui hante avec persistance <em>Nocturama<\/em>.
