Faute d\u2019avoir vu tous les films de la comp\u00e9tition (seulement 12 sur 21) on ne se permettra pas de porter de jugement p\u00e9remptoire sur les choix du jury, mais force est de constater que les films que nous avons aim\u00e9 cette ann\u00e9e brillent par leur absence du palmar\u00e8s : rien pour <em>Julieta<\/em> de Pedro Almod\u00f3var, <em>Ma Loute<\/em> de Bruno Dumont, <em>Rester vertical<\/em> de Alain Guiraudie, <em>Aquarius<\/em> de Kleber Mendonza Filho (la plus belle nouvelle entr\u00e9e de la comp\u00e9tition), <em>The Neon Demon<\/em> de Nicolas Winding Refn, <em>Sieranevada <\/em>de Cristi Puiu\u2026 sans parler de <em>Elle<\/em> de Paul Verhoeven (Palme d\u2019or r\u00eav\u00e9e). Autant de belles occasions rat\u00e9es de r\u00e9compenser l\u2019audace, l\u2019intelligence et parfois le g\u00e9nie visionnaire d\u2019auteurs qui ont pouss\u00e9 haut et loin les potentialit\u00e9s de l\u2019art cin\u00e9matographique, avec toute sa profondeur et sa complexit\u00e9, ses flots d\u2019\u00e9motions contradictoires et ses chocs sensoriels. Mais nous irons voir les films prim\u00e9s, promis.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_18669\" style=\"width: 4362px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-18669\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18669\" src=\"https:\/\/www.arte.tv\/sites\/olivierpere\/files\/img_1344.jpg\" alt=\"Olivier Assayas, prix de la mise en sc\u00e8ne pour Personal Shopper \u00a9 ARTE France Cin\u00e9ma\" width=\"4352\" height=\"2904\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.arte.tv\/sites\/olivierpere\/files\/img_1344.jpg 4352w, https:\/\/www.arte.tv\/sites\/olivierpere\/files\/img_1344-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.arte.tv\/sites\/olivierpere\/files\/img_1344-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.arte.tv\/sites\/olivierpere\/files\/img_1344-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.arte.tv\/sites\/olivierpere\/files\/img_1344-580x387.jpg 580w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 4352px) 100vw, 4352px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-18669\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Olivier Assayas, prix de la mise en sc\u00e8ne pour<em> Personal Shopper<\/em> \u00a9 ARTE France Cin\u00e9ma<\/p><\/div>\n<p>On ne peut que se r\u00e9jouir en revanche du prix de la mise en sc\u00e8ne ex-\u00e6quo avec le talentueux Cristian Mungiu pour <em>Bacalaureat<\/em> (pas vu) d\u00e9cern\u00e9 \u00e0 Olivier Assayas pour <em>Personal Shopper<\/em>, film de pure mise en sc\u00e8ne dont la croyance dans le cin\u00e9ma, sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 capter \u00e0 la fois le monde qui nous entoure et les myst\u00e8res d\u2019une \u00e2me atteint des sommets de trouble et d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9gance m\u00eal\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>La Palme d\u2019or d\u2019honneur d\u00e9cern\u00e9e \u00e0 Jean-Pierre L\u00e9aud, \u00e9galement pr\u00e9sent \u00e0 Cannes dans l\u2019un des chefs-d&rsquo;oeuvre du festival, toutes sections confondues, <em>La Mort de Louis XIV <\/em>de Albert Serra, fut le moment le plus fort de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie de cl\u00f4ture.
