Deux ans pr\u00e8s <em>L\u2019Institutrice<\/em> le cin\u00e9aste de Tel Aviv r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 par le Festival de Locarno signe avec <em>Le Journal d\u2019un photographe<\/em> <em>de mariages<\/em> un film de quarante minutes, de nouveau pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 en s\u00e9ance sp\u00e9ciale \u00e0 la Semaine de la Critique. Le propos et la forme prolonge ceux de <em>L\u2019Institutrice<\/em>. Il s\u2019agit de poser un regard critique sur l\u2019une des institutions fondatrices de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 isra\u00e9lienne, ici le mariage, avec une mise en sc\u00e8ne qui porte en elle des id\u00e9es, des questions et quelques r\u00e9ponses. Digne h\u00e9ritier de Godard et Fassbinder, Lapid fait politiquement du cin\u00e9ma, chaque plan est \u00e0 la fois th\u00e9orique et incarn\u00e9, r\u00e9flexif et spectaculaire. Le h\u00e9ros du film est un photographe de mariage que les familles s\u2019arrachent pour filmer les rituels et c\u00e9r\u00e9monies qui accompagnent l\u2019union sacr\u00e9e \u2013 et \u00e9conomique &#8211; entre un homme et une femme. Le photographe et son cam\u00e9scope accordent une attention particuli\u00e8re \u00e0 deux \u00e9pouses \u2013 le film est constitu\u00e9e de deux mariages \u2013 et enregistre le d\u00e9sarroi, l\u2019angoisse et le r\u00eave de fuite des belles promises qui sont aussi des belles captives. Du statut de metteur en sc\u00e8ne le photographe passe \u00e0 celui de t\u00e9moin, confident puis acteur. Lapid s\u2019attaque moins au mariage qu\u2019\u00e0 une certaine n\u00e9o bourgeoisie inculte et arrogante obs\u00e9d\u00e9e par l\u2019argent, dans un petit monde clos. Le futur mari\u00e9 ordonne au cin\u00e9aste de faire en sorte qu\u2019un minaret n\u2019apparaisse pas dans le cadre lors des effusions d\u2019amour film\u00e9es sur une plage.
