After studying law and economics at Panthéon Assas University, Soumaya Benghabrit gained a DESS Graduate Diploma specialising in Human Resources Management at the Capitole University of Toulouse in 1994.
After an initial 3-year experience in the nuclear engineering sector with SGN (Areva Group), she moved over to the media sector in 1997 when she joined ARTE France (formerly Sept ARTE) as Human Resources Manager.
Subsequently, when i>télé was created in 1999, she joined Groupe Canal+ as Head of Human Resources for the news channel. She then held several posts within the Group as Director of Human Resources for sectors such as Technologies and Information Systems, Sports and Distribution.
In 2008, she joined Amaury Sport Organisation (Amaury Group), the owner and organiser of major sporting events such as the Tour de France, the Paris Marathon and the Dakar Rally, as Director of Human Resources.
She rejoined ARTE France in October 2018 as Director of Human Resources.
