Dancing to a new rhythm

[caption id="attachment_56690" align="alignleft" width="195"]2001-Auditorium-ARTE-INFO © Martin Bernhart[/caption] ARTE’s schedule is reset to reflect new TV viewing habits while remaining true to its values and editorial policy. Late evening programs now start at around 10:30-11 p.m. to enable viewers from other channels to join. A new rhythm is introduced to programming with a wider variety of genres on offer and an intensified focus on culture and Europe; art house documentaries on Mondays, politics and society on Tuesdays, History on Wednesdays, and movies on Thursdays. Late night is dedicated to more experimental programming from the art world and cinema, as well as pop and rock music in the bi-monthly, Music Planet 2Nite. Other new programs also include the Saturday magazine, Forum, which focuses on European society, and Sunday's self-explanatory, "Dance".
