In-House Legal Counsel (m/f) – specialist in European media law and intellectual property

Job offer with ARTE GEIE in Strasbourg

As part of its European development strategy and thanks to a European co-financing, ARTE is rolling out its digital offer across Europe and forging new partnerships. To accompany this European drive, ARTE seeks to recruit an in-house legal counsel.

Your duties

  • Provide legal advice on opportunities to roll out ARTE’s digital offer across Europe beyond France and Germany.
  • Provide a legal framework for negotiations with European partners and operators and draw up the contracts.
  • Monitor legislative developments in Europe in the fields of media and intellectual property.

Your strengths

  • When dealing with new situations, you come up with innovative solutions.
  • You are committed and able to work independently. You take the initiative.
  • You communicate perfectly, both orally and in writing; your legal briefing notes are accurate and concise.
  • You have a team spirit and are able to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds.

Your profile

  • Master 2 in Law with a specialisation in Intellectual Property Law.
  • Professional experience in the audiovisual sector, for example with a media company or an operator, preferably in a European or international context.
  • Fluency in French, German and English; an additional language would be a plus.

ARTE in Strasbourg offers you:

An 18-month full-time fixed term contract, to be filled as soon as possible, within the Legal Department and the European Development Department.
