In a Czech village, a van plows into a crowd at an Easter market, dividing Bronya and Standa – two volunteer firemen. Bronya, still grieving his wife's death, sees it as a terrorist attack by a migrant. Standa, awaiting his son's birth, has a different perspective. As they confront their biases, their friendship and the village's sense of safety are tested.
