The Acropolis in Athens, a symbol of ancient Greece, attracts hundreds of visitors every day. For the new tourist season, the Greek government has announced that it will be offering VIP tickets for visits at sunrise and sunset – for a considerable price. This move, seen as privatising the country's culture and making it less accessible to the wider public, has been condemned by many, including Greek archaeologists.
