Igor Levit performs BeethovenPiano Sonata no. 23 "Appassionata"

Beethoven's Sonata No. 23 in F minor, better known as the "Appassionata", is one of the composer's major works for piano. Written in 1804, it's a piece that demonstrates the throes of passion and the dramatic intensity of Beethoven's genius well. In 2020, pianist Igor Levit performed the complete 32 sonatas over eight concerts at the Salzburg Festival.
