Marcel Dettmann has been a major figure on the techno scene since the 1990s. As an artist in residence at the Berghain, he is considered one of the most influential exponents of contemporary techno. His style strikes a balance between modern techno and pre-techno, and his instantly recognisable aesthetic, as raw as it is minimal, as emotional as it is unpredictable.
