50th Prix de LausanneDay 2: Afternoon
Tuesday afternoon at the Théâtre de Beaulieu: as the selections approach, the boys and girls of group B are refining their technique.
The prestigious Prix de Lausanne celebrates its golden jubilee this year! In the newly renovated Théâtre de Beaulieu, the fiftieth edition brings together 87 young dancers from all over the world. Aged between 15 and 18, these promising young artists are competing to gain entry into the best international dance schools.
Candidates receive four days of classes and coaching led by leading figures in classical and contemporary dance with a selection day concluding this intensive period of training. Only the best will go through to the final on Saturday 4 February.
The afternoon of Day 2 has coverage of group B boys (17-18 years old), being coached in contemporary variations. Then the girls of the same age group have a classical masterclass led by Élisabeth Platel.
