50th Prix de LausanneDay 1: Afternoon
This first afternoon of training features classical dance with classes led by Elisabeth Platel and Julio Bocca.
The prestigious Prix de Lausanne celebrates its golden jubilee this year! In the newly renovated Théâtre de Beaulieu, the fiftieth edition brings together 87 young dancers from all over the world. Aged between 15 and 18, these promising young artists are competing to gain entry into the best international dance schools.
Candidates receive four days of classes and coaching led by leading figures in classical and contemporary dance with a selection day concluding this intensive period of training. Only the best will go through to the final on Saturday 4 February.
The afternoon of Day 1 has a double focus: classical classes with the 17 and 18 year old candidates. High-level masterclasses are led by two great dancers: Élisabeth Platel and Julio Bocca.
