Emma (3/4)
Emma and her new acquaintance Mr. Frank Churchill plan a ball. An unexpected piece of news arrives in Highbury: after Emma rejected his proposal, Mr. Elton has married another woman. Mrs. Augusta Elton is universally agreed upon as being terribly arrogant, but nonetheless, a married woman of her status must be received accordingly. The planned ball takes place. Mr. Elton refuses to dance with Emma's protégé, Harriet, but Mr. Knightley comes to the rescue. A long-time friend of the Woodhouse family, he is deeply concerned about Emma's well-being.
