Dispatches From Ukraine: Local Journalists ReportSurvivors of the Kramatorsk Station Attack
Kramatorsk railway station was targeted by a Russian missile attack at 9.30 am on 8 April. Hundreds of civilians were trying to evacuate this region of eastern Ukraine, in the Donetsk oblast. The death toll was terrible: 57 dead and hundreds injured, many of them children. Some of them were evacuated to the hospital in Dnipro, 250 km to the west. Ukrainian journalist Oleksandr Kulish went to the scene for TSN 1+1.
