Early on in Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the Russian army took control of the Chernobyl power plant, even holding Ukrainian personnel hostage. After 38 days of occupation, Russian soldiers evacuated the area, but dozens of them are now believed to be hospitalised with radiation poisioning.
