Until recently, Pascal Mertens' life was completely normal: the 34-year-old had just moved in with his new girlfriend. At the end of last year, he was vaccinated against coronavirus, and he says that's when everything changed. He can only move around with the help of a Zimmer frame, and can't go down the stairs without help. Doctors have diagnosed him with a neurological disease. He - and hundreds of other Germans - are convinced they have Post Vaccination Syndrome, a condition that does not officially exist, but that patients say describes their very real suffering.
