For the first time in 2020, around 100,000 Italians left big cities in the north of the country for modest towns in the south, in search of a new life. In Calabria, where the mafia and unemployment reign supreme, we follow Angelo, Rocco, Francesco and Nunzia – who have all decided to reinvent themselves by moving back to their hometowns.
Południe Włoch (Sycylia, Kalabria, Apulia) to rejon, z którego tradycyjnie emigrowano w poszukiwaniu lepszego życia. W 2000 r. po raz pierwszy zanotowano tendencję odwrotną - 100 tys. Włochów porzuciło bogate miasta Północy, by wrócić w rodzinne strony. ARTE towarzyszy czwórce z nich: Angelo, Rocco, Francesco i Nunzi by sprawdzić jak odnajdą się w miejscu, w którym wpływy mafii są nadal silne, a bezrobocie wysokie.
