<p>Covering an area of 87,500 square kilometres, the Pelagos sanctuary was created specifically to protect large marine mammals. Many species such as dolphins, whales, rorquals, and sperm whales feed and reproduce in this maritime area, which stretches from France to Italy and surrounds Corsica.</p>
