Antoni Gaudí lived and worked in Barcelona during a period of profound change. As the Catalan capital was rapidly expanding the architect designed striking buildings that would become emblematic of the city: the enchanting Park Güell, the immense and unfinished Sagrada Família basilica, as well as many unique residential buildings such as the Casa Batlló.
