Before the fall of the Iron Curtain, Georgia supplied all of Eastern Europe with tea, as the climate in the country is ideal for cultivation. When Hannes discovered that the tea of her childhood had ceased production, she and partner left for Georgia and leased an overgrown tea plantation. They use all organic methods and pay workers above-average wages.
