24-year-old Orhan is Kurdish and one of an estimated 500,000 waste pickers in Turkey. His patch is an Istanbul neighbourhood east of the Bosphorus. The work is hard: pulling a handcart through the city for up to twelve hours a day looking for recyclable material like plastic and it is under threat from new regulations from the Turkish government.
