In 2015, British company Cambridge Analytica used the Facebook data of at least 87 million to influence how citizens would vote. Thanks to this data, Cambridge Analytica is able to paint a very accurate picture of voters and carry out targeted political advertising.

This programme of the Swiss channel SRG SSR is part of The European Collection, a joint initiative of European public media (ARD, ARTE, France Télévisions, SRG SSR and ZDF), coordinated by ARTE.
